Frustration
Traffic, overtime, bureaucracy, that one coworker. Japanese frustration language is beautifully self-directed — mukatsuku ("it churns my stomach"), darui ("I'm wiped"), the world-weary mendokusai — which is exactly why it's relatively safe to say out loud. Then it climbs: urusai to damare, kanben to fuzakenna.
